Girne (Kyrenia)

Girne, also known as Kyrenia, is a city in Northern Cyprus and is one of the main tourist destinations due to its beautiful nature, rich historical heritage and beautiful beaches.

Girne has a rich history that goes back several thousand years. The city was founded by the ancient Greeks in the 7th century BC. and has since been controlled by various empires, including the Assyrian, Persian, Greek, Roman, and Byzantine empires.
